According to reports, Redcar & Cleveland Borough Council have removed their domestic & sexual violence funding from EVA Women’s Aid and Rape Crisis, a well known and reputable specialist refuge service for women and children and awarded it instead to Foundation, a Leeds organisation, committed to supporting domestic violence perpetrators, sex offenders and other violent men.
I have no doubt that Foundation do worthy work with perpetrators of domestic and sexual violence, but their work should surely be complementary to a group protecting and counselling survivors, not a replacement.
If anybody knows more about this I’d be fascinated to hear it.

On today’s episode of ‘This Morning’ Eamonn Holmes interviewed a lady who had survived a marriage of bullying, psychological torture, inclusing a form a waterboarding and physical abuse. This lady had endured horrific domestic abuse and violence.
The lady’s husband bit off her nose.
Eamonn Holmes asked her if she had “done anything to deserve the jealousy?”.
He, in full chauvinist misogynist mode, implied a bullies actions were the victims fault. He has no basic humanity or compassion.
